Basic Information

Taiki Kou first appeared in episode 173 of the Japanese Sailor Moon Series. He was only in the last season, however he is well known as “Sailor Star Maker.”

 

He came to earth in search for Princess Kakyuu, who had disappeared from his destructed planet along with the other two Sailor Starlights.

 

He formed a band with Seiya and Yaten called the “Three Lights.” This band had great success really quickly. Fans (including the Inner Senshi) were absolutely in love with them. Little did the fans know that they were actually women.

 

Taiki had a little spark with Ami Mizuno. They both have very much in common. He’s very intelligent and somewhat competitive. The competitiveness he had against Ami Mizuno was a form of flattery, which showed his feelings towards her. There were several episodes where he’s constantly thinking about her, however nothing ever happens.

 

There’s one particular episode involving their science teacher. He invites Ami and Taiki over to watch his comet, however Taiki rejects the offer hands down. Ami passes on her wisdom to Taiki and eventually he caves and goes to the house.

 

Taiki first showed his true form in front of the other Sailor Senshi when he was on the Starlight plane ride with all of his fans. He had no choice about transforming since his live was in danger, and Seiya had already spoiled their identities. Once their true forms were revealed, Taiki had to put on the serious face and forbid Seiya from ever seeing Usagi again. This is where Taiki lost all sense of humor and really never had any other emotion besides anger.

 

Sailor Star Maker fought in the final battle with Galaxia along side of Eternal Sailor Moon. This showed his generous spirit and wanting to help others. He did not die like the other Sailor Senshi, and put up a tough fight until Galaxia was defeated. His powers were useless in the final battle, however his kind words and belief in Usagi wasn’t.

 

Before the final battle, the outer senshi had a big conflict with the three starlights. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune wouldn’t let Sailor Moon partner up with them because they were “intruders” from outside the Solar system. In addition to this, Haruka had a problem with their human identities because they were popular.

 

He said his goodbyes along with Seiya to Usagi and her friends, then went off into outer space with Princess Kakyuu and began his new life.
