Basic Information

Minako Aino was the final Sailor Soldier to be found by the scouts, but the first senshi to be woken. She spent her time in England fighting crime as Sailor V, the famous Sailor Scout.

 

She moved from England back to Tokyo after the man of her life fell in love with another women. His name was Allen, and she still thinks about him in several episodes.

 

Her character, Sailor V, becomes quite famous and well known all over the world. During the first season of Sailor Moon, an anime was created for Sailor V. Many teenagers spent all of their free time sketching pictures of Sailor V in cool poses.

 

The audience never got to see Sailor V’s attacks besides the Sailor V kick (which Sailor Moon imitated.)

 

Sailor Venus came to rescue the Inner Senshi when they were trapped in a dark bubble under the influence of Kunzite. Her attacks, maturity, beauty and idolism impressed the Sailor Scouts. Eventually her character unraveled and became the hilarious Minako that she is now.

 

Minako attends a different school than the rest (like Rei.) Even though she can’t see her friends during school, she still tries to be the best friend. In one episode while everyone in the city was sick, Minako transformed into Nurse Minako! She baked, cleaned up, and put on music for all of her friends and their families. Now this sounds like a good deed, but Minako’s personality is quite clumsy. She ended up destroying the houses rather than fixing them.

 

Even though Minako is clumsy, she is still a good friend. Her and Usagi seem to get along the best. Minako spent a lot of time alone with Usagi throughout the show. She would comb her hair while Usagi was depressed, help her spy on Haruka, and even transport Sailor Moon from location to location on nothing but a bike.

 

Her dream is to become a superstar, and attempts to do everything she can to become successful. She attempted to win the ultimate fan contest for a famous singer, and she came close to winning. She always takes her chances to become famous, but hardly ever becomes successful.

 

Minako enjoys playing video games, especially at the arcade with Motoki. She is excellent at the race car games in the arcade, however she can never beat Haruka. Minako takes most of her stress out by car racing in the arcade.

 

Before she moved to England she used to be a pro at volleyball. She was apart of her school’s volleyball team and was one of the best players. She has very rare skill, but unfortunately has not pursued to play volleyball again since her discovery as Sailor Venus.
