Basic Information

Ami Muzino was the third sailor scout to be awoken in the show. She was a very independent girl before she met Usagi. Her grades are always close-to-perfect.

 

Many people consider Ami a bookworm, however she never lets insults bother her. Her main priorities in life used to be studying and becoming a doctor.

 

Ami appeared early in the first season of Sailor Moon, and was awoken by Luna as Sailor Mercury. She helped Sailor Moon save the day by using her first attack, Bubble-Spray.

 

Sailor Mercury has all water attacks, that are usually helpful to hold off enemies. Not only can she attack the bad guys but she can use her knowledge to help the senshis.

 

Luna gave Ami a computer that helps her with basically everything. For example, the computer can help identify the locations of an enemy or the weaknesses of the enemies.

 

Even Ami likes to have a break from studying from time to time, however she is the only one in the inner senshi who can study well. She attempts to keep everyone up to date with their studies, even Chibi-Usa.

 

Ami doesn’t have many love stories throughout the series, however the episodes that she does are usually special for her. Her first love was someone who contained one of the rainbow crystals and was a monster in their previous life. No matter what the situation is for her, she always tries to protect the ones she loves. Even though her first love was a monster, she had no intention to kill him and in the end she saved him.

 

She has received many opportunities for better schooling throughout the series of the show. She had a special invitation to study in Germany to become a doctor during the second season of Sailor Moon. Usagi and the rest had decided for her that she should go and threw her a surprise party. Unfortunately Ami didn't want a party since she couldn’t handle saying goodbye, which shows how important her friends are to her. Right before she was about to board the plane, Chibi-Usa handed her a gift form Usagi which was the latest equipment for the Sailor Scouts. In the end she decided to decline her invitation to Germany and stay with Usagi and her friends to protect Tokyo.

 

During her spare time she either studies or does something that involves thinking. She is a master at chess and can beat almost anyone, especially Usagi.

 

Ami is one of the most understandable characters in the story since she tries to be nice to everyone. She always helps Usagi even when she knows Usagi can’t be helped.

 

She cares much about her friends and has committed to being Sailor Mercury forever.
