The Sailor Moon RPG game has gone through many different stages of names, graphics and storylines. Some of you may remember playing version one, or just started playing the latest version and want to know about the previous ones. Here’s a little history on the game.

Version 1

The first version consisted of about 10, maybe 15 minutes of play. It was released sometime in 2004, under the name, “Sailor Moon RPG: The Alternate Beginning.”

The story started off similar to the others, however no plotscripts and very poor graphics were included. You started off as Usagi in a field of flowers, then rescued a man, found Sailor Mercury, went to a cave then the version ended.

Version 2

The second version was a bit better. Graphics still hadn’t improved, however the story did. This time the playable characters were Sailor Moon, Mercury and Mars. In all honesty, I forget where this version ended, or what the story was.

Version 3

Third version was released on May 11, 2004 (thanks to sailorvgame for posting it!) to public. The story had greatly improved, however the graphics did not! The beginning of the story changed with a normal opening with Queen Beryl and Queen Serenity, then you begin playing as Usagi in the garden.

The playable characters in this version were Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Pluto, Uranus and Neptune. The final scene ends with Hotaru awakening as Sailor Saturn. I got bored of updating the game since it was so much work, but after 2 years I finally decided to keep going.

Version 4

My main goal for version 4 is improving graphics, however that is quite difficult in OHRRPGCE. After spending a few weeks making the walkabout graphics better, I started on the story. After a few weeks I got fed up with the program crashing (I use Windows), so I tried the trial version of RPG Maker XP.

I liked it a lot, so I switched over to it! This version is going to be spectacular. Completely revamped, with a entirely new story, characters, graphics, and even game title.

The preview for this version will be released next weekend (November 18, 2006.) Preview means I will cut off the story at one point, however I’m a lot farther than what will be shown.
